Deproteinised leaf juice (DPJ) from Eichomia crassipes L was used to observe its effect on cell division in Allium cepa. L and Allium sativum. L root tips. Chromosomal abberations like anaphasic bridges, micronuclei, unorientation, condensation etc during different stages of mitosis were recorded.
