Drinking water quality in Kachheriadih and Muslimtola Villages of Nawadah District of Bihar State

Abstract

The present investigation reports physico-ehemical analysis of water samples from hand pumps of two villages to evaluate quality of dringing water. All water samples contained fluoride between 2.2 and 5.9 ppm, which was much higher than the maximum permissible limit of 1.5 ppm. More than 60% population of these villages was suffering from skeletal and dental fluorosis.
