Abstract

Treatment of Sapota (Manilkara achras) fruits with GA3 (200 mg/l) showed gradual increase in total soluble solids, total and reducing sugars, while decrease in ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) content and titrable acidity during storage up to eight days. Packing the fruits in polyethylene bag with KMnO4 coated silica gel was found beneficial.
