Post harvest dip of sapota fruit in GA3 (200 mg/l) reduced loss in weight, spoilage and shriveling, induced more firmness and increased percentage of marketable fruits as well as shelf life. GA3 (150 mg/l) and CaCl2 (6 and4%) treatments were also found suitable to maintain quality of fruits. Storage of fruits in polyethylene bag with KMnO4 silica gel, gave encouraging results while, unpacked fruits showed faster deterioration.
