Some enzymatic studies under pathogenesis

An attempt has been made to study some enzymes in the leaves of Mappia foetida Miers infected with Cylindrosporium mappiae Thirum & Nars. The infection enhanced activities of enzymes like nitrate reductase, polyphenol oxidase, and ascorbic acid oxidase. While activities of enzymes viz nitrite reductase, catalase and IAA oxidase were decreased in the infected leaves.
