A field experiment was conducted during three rainy (kharif) seasons of 2004, 2005, 2006 to study the effect of different fertilizer levels on pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum L.) under rain fed conditions at College of Agriculture, Dhule. Among the different treatments, application of 5 t of FYM + biofertilizer (Azosperilium + PSB, Bacillus megaterium var. phosphoticum) @ 25gm/kg each + 60:30:30 kg NPK/ha gave significantly high grain yield (25.86 q/ha) and fodder yield (43.96 q/ha). Application of 50:25:25 kg NPK/ha recorded highest B:C ratio (1.75), while 40:20:20 kg NPK/ha was most economical and beneficial for achieving higher yield and net returns of pearl millet.
