Abstract
An interesting rust belonging to the genus Coleosporium Leveille viz. C. plumeiraa Pat. is illustrated and described which was collected on Plumeria acutifolia Poir. (Fam.: Apocynaceae). Both mature and young leaves were found to be equally susceptible to the pathogen. Severe infection often resulted in early leaf abscission. The hyperparasite viz. Cladosporium cladosporioides (Fres.) de Vries is also found associated with uredinia on some leaves. This rust is reported for the first time in Maharashtra state.
