Abstract

Attempt was made to study influence of different stress features viz. sodium chloride salinity, water stress and leaf ageing on stomatal behaviour in horsegram (Dolichos biflorus L. Syn. Vigna ungiculata L. Walp. subspecies ungiculata Verde.). The rate of transpiration and stomatal conductance to CO2 reduced due to stress. Water stress was found to be most effective in relation to the stomatal behaviour.
