Abstract

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of light and shade conditions on growth of green gram, Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek var sublobata (Roxb.) Verdc., treated with triacontanol. Triacontanol was sprayed on leaves and exposed to light and shade conditions. Plant height, number of leaves, and biomass production were higher in the plants exposed to light as compared to those growing in shade.
