Abstract

Six strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum where isolated and tested for varietal response on soybean cultivers JS335, AT450, AR91 and DS228. B6 strain significantly increased plant height and root nodules in JS335. B3 strain significantly increased the number of leaves while B5 strain increased yield of biomass in JS 335. However B2 strain effectively increased number of flowers and B3 strain was effective for increased number of pods in DS228. These findings supported varietal response of B. japonicum.
