Alcoholic leaf extract of Hyptis suaveolens, Cleredendrum inerme, Tagetis erecta, Samanea saman, Swietenia macrophylla were found to be effective in controlling growth of Alternarea alternata causing leaf spot of rose with complete inhibition of both sensitive and resistant isolates. Aqueous leaf extract of Hyptis suaveolens inhibited growth of Alternarea alternata.
