Abstract

Seeds of Safflower, Soybean and Niger were collected and stored in gunny bags under normal conditions for nine months. The per cent incidence of fungi was studied after every month. The results revealed that the storage period is positively correlated with percent incidence. The wide diversity of mycoflora was observed and Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Penecilium sp., Curvalaria lunata and Rhizopus stolonifer were found to be dominant.
