Abstract

Karyological investigations were carried out on adult male beetles, viz, Phalops divisus (Wiedman), P. olivaceous Lansberg, Hybosorus orientalis (Westwood) and Bolboceras sp. All species exhibited the ‘modal’ Polyphagan karyotype 2n = 20:9 + Xyp sex mechanism.
