Abstract

In the present investigation the fossil monocot leaf is reported from Deccan Intertrappean beds of Mohgaonkalan, M.P. India. The leaf blade is monocotyledoncus, aquatic with uniform thickness, flat, strap shaped and air cavities in single series. Vascular bundles are Conjoint and Collateral present in transverse septum of leaf.
