The paper describes fossil gymnosperm leaf from Mohgaonkalan, Madhya Pradesh India. Intertrappean exposures at Mohgaonkalan are rich in fossil flora. The present fossil leaf was found to vary from living and known fossil gymonspermous leaves in having undifferentiated parentchymatous mesophyll, hypodermis with thick inner tangential wall, position of resin canal near to hypodermis and elliptical shape leaf. The leaf showed similarities with leaf of Picea, hence named as pinaceophyllum mohgaonii gen. et. sp. nov.
