Abstract

Chlorophyll and carotenoid concentrations were measured in five bryophytes from Panhala region of Kolhapur district. The concentration of chlorophyll b was greater than that of chlorophyll a in all bryophytes, while that of carotenoids was maximum in Asterella wallichiana and minimum in A. subtilis.
