Six species of Ascomycetes were collected on the samples of drift, intertidal and mangrove wood. These include Aniptodera chesapeakensis, Arenariomyces majusculus, Corollospora colossa, C. gracilis, C. intermedia and Dryosphaeria tropicalis. All the fungi are first time recorded from Gujarat coast. The data provides information on the distribution of these fungi from India, apart from their description and illustrations.
