Rearing of hairy caterpillar of soybean Spilosoma oblique Walker (Arctiidae: Lepidoptera) and that of larval endoparasitoide Apanteles flavipes Cameron (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) was carried out in vitro. Using parasitized S. oblique larvae and this biocontrol method, soybean crop, growing in about 1.2 hectare was saved by the attack of hairy caterpillars.
