Decreased glucose, glycogen and increased lactic acid levels was observed in maetacercarias of Channa punctatus due to the treatment of Carica papaya seed extract.This indicates blockage of glucose uptake, and it can be concluded that seed extract of C.papaya may be inhibiting energy generating pathway and exhibit effective antihelminthic property.
