Effect of lead acetate on glycogen, sugar and protein contents in selected tissues of fresh water crab Barytelphusa cunicularis was studied. The glycogen content of muscle and hepatopancreas deplete significantly, while sugar level in blood significantly elevated leading to hyperglycemia. Sugar and protein contents in muscle decreased.
