Abstract

The fish fauna of Bhima river were collected for the present study. The result of present study confirmed the occurrence of Twenty five species of fishes belonging to six orders and ten families. The family Cyprinidae was dominant with ten species followed by family Bagridae and Channidae with three species each; Siluridae and Mastacembelidae with two species each while Heteropneusridae, Cichlidae, Gobiidae, Heminamphidae and Notopteridae with single species.
