Foliar epidermis of six members belonging to subtribe Eujusticeae, Tribe-Justiceae, Family Acanthaceae was studied. Qualitative features like cell shape and distribution, and type of stomatal complex and trichomes, shape of cystoliths and their distributional pattern, while quantitative features such as size of epidermal cells, cystoliths and stomata, stomatal frequency, stomatal index and trichome length have been reported.
