The present paper gives description of Anthoceros spinisporous Steph, Folioceros harrietii sp. Nov., Notothylas dissecta Steph and N. pfleidereri Udar et Singh. They have been collected from deep sandy soil with loamy texture with poor drainage. The thalloid forms occur with leafy ones on the exposed soil. The paper constitute first account of hepatic forms from Andaman Islands. The disjunctive features like rhizoids, male and female thalli, surface cells with chloroplasts, anatomy of thallus, a typical mechanism of capsule dehiscence, spores, elaters, pseudo-elaters have been critically evaluated.
