Abstract

The present paper deals with the study of antimicrobial activity of Tribulus terrestris L. and Pedalium murex L. against Bacillus cereus, Escherichia Coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pnemoniae, and a fungus Candida albicans. Maximum inhibitory activity was reported with ethanolic extracts of all plant parts of T. terrestris against all bacteria. While it was observed with chloroform extracts of all parts of Pedalium murex. The fruits of both plants possess highest inhibitory activity.
