Gut of dung beetle (Heliocopris gigas) showed presence of yeast and several bacterial colonies and found to be rich in bacteria belonging to orders Clostridialles, Lactobacillales, Methylococcales, Pseudomonadales and Rhodospirillales. The microflora establish symbiotic relationship with beetle gut and help it in digestion of cellulose and fibers.
