A field experiment was conducted to study the performance of four sugarcane genotypes along with two check varieties under moisture stress during the Suru season of 2008–09. Among the four genotypes, CoM 0265 recorded minimum reduction (16.00%) in cane yield under moisture stress as compared to the regularly irrigated crop. This genotype maintained maximum number of millable canes (96.26 thousands/ha) and had higher single cane weight (1.62 kg) over other genotypes and check varieties under moisture stress condition, and thus proved its ability to withstand moisture stress.
