Abstract

The deproteinized leaf juices from fenugreek, amaranth, cauliflower, cabbage, lucerne and maize were employed as a medium for growing yeast. Comparison of yeast biomass production on conventional MYGP medium with that on DPJ revealed that the DPJ of fenugreek, cauliflower, lucerne, and maize support growth of baker yeast.
