Fungal Airspora at Solapur Over Groundnut Fields.

Abstract

Present Paper deals with the survey of airborne fungal spores over groundnut fields at Dadpur near Solapur (M. S.). Aerobiological investigations during two consecutive summer and kharif seasons reported 73 spore types, out of which 44 were Deuteromycetes, 22 Ascomycetes, 4 Basidiomycetes and 3 Phycomycetes. Dominant spore types recorded were - Cladosporium. sp, Pringsheimia. sp., Ascotricha. sp., Alternaria. sp., Helminthosporium. sp., rust spores, Smut spores, Drechslera. sp., Geotrichum. sp., Fusarium. sp., Nigraspora. sp., Curvularia. sp., Aspergillus. sp., Hypoxylon. sp., and Periconia. sp. The spore types Alternaria. sp. Puccinia. sp, fusarium. sp, and Cercospora. sp were pathogenic to the groundnut crop.
