Abstract

A total of 4565 participants were included in the study from Bareilly city. On the basis of the answers given in a questionnaire 1978 (76.4%) males and 1671 (84.5%) females were found normal whereas 610 males (23.6%) and 306 (15.5%) females were reported as diabetic. Highest number of drinkers were recorded in between 35 - 44 years of age group (10.0%) among normal population whereas among diabetic individuals maximum number (13.9%) of drinkers were recorded in age group of 45 - 54 years.
