Abstract

The use of Rotating Biological Contactors (RBCs) to treat waste water using thin film of aerobic microorganisms on rotating cylinders is one of the methods of biological treatment processes. An overview of the isolation and identification of bacteria responsible for the maximum degradation of organic matter in washwater from distillery using Rotating Biological Contactor has been given.
