Abstract

There wasvariation in minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of carbendazim among Alternaria alternata (Fries) Keissler isolates on the agar plates as well as on Gerbera leaves. MIC on agar plates ranged from 10–15% while on gerbera leaves from 5–8%. Isolate Aa-4 from Pune was highly resistant. Use of carbendazim with agro-chemicals such as Kavach, Mancozeb, Redomil, Mera-71 completely inhibited growth of the pathogen, both in vitro and in vivo, suggesting reduction in carbendazim resistance.
