Twenty five sorghum RILs from each of two Recombinant Inbred populations (RIPs) derived from crosses IS 830 x EI6–1 (R1P1) and NI13 x I36-1 (RIP2) were evaluated for post flowering drought tolerance. The RILs with high stay-green scores were selected and evaluated for stay-green stability performance. Stability was estimated using the Eberhart and Russell method. Based on stability parameters, in RIP1, the RILs 22 and 71 and in RIP2, RILs 170 and 214 were desirable, stable and adapted to wide range of environments in Karnataka.
