Abstract

Application of Azospirillum + PSB + 50% vermicompost equivalent to RDN + 50% recommended NPK (T9) recorded significantly higher plant height (87.00 cm), number of branches/plant (39.61), plant spread (35.77 cm), total dry matter production (22.77 g/plant) and early flower bud initiation (25.13 days after transplanting). The maximum flower diameter (5.60 cm), vase life of cut flowers (8.53 days), shelf life of loose flower in open condition (42.06 hrs) and shelf life of loose flower in perforated polythene cover (53.88 hrs) was observed in T9 In addition the uptake of N (82.5 kg/ha), P (12.0 kg/ha) and K (79.9 kg/ha) was significantly higher.
