Abstract

Characterization and evaluation is necessary for the identification of cultivars, to carry out Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability (DUS) and seed genetic purity tests. During present investigation a comprehensive study was conducted during Kharif season of 2010–2011 on characterization of nine vegetable soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill.) genotypes based on seed and seedling morphology. These traits were recorded following the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) guidelines for soybean.
