Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad during 2008–2009 to study the effect of cut roots and organic manures on carrot (cv. Jatt local) seed yield. Significant differences due to type of the cut root and source of organic manures were observed. Half cut root recorded significantly higher (897.15 kg/ha) seed yield. None of the organic manures were found significantly superior over recommended dose of Fertilizers (75: 60.5: 50 kg/ha) with respect to seed yield.
