Abstract

Afield experiment was conducted to find out the effect of chemical treatments in sesame DS-1, during Kharif -2009. High and low vigour seeds consisted of seven seed soaking treatments viz., water, KCl (2%), KH2PO4 (2%), GA3 (500 ppm), CaCl2 (0.5 cow urine (50%), and Untreated as control. Treatment with GA3 (500 ppm) recorded highest growth and yield parameters in both high and low vigour seeds of sesame, followed by the treatment with CaCl2 (0.5%) compared with control.
