Constraints faced by extension personnel in transfer of technology

The study was conducted in the Ahmednagar and Nasik districts of Maharashtra State. Majority of the extension personnel reported that non availability of need based literature, poor access to Internet, lack of proficiency in handling computers, unavailability of vehicles, lack of co-operation from colleagues, lack of knowledge about writing extension article, writing radio and TV script, and inconvenient period of training programme were the major constraints faced by the extension personnel. Organization of short duration training programme, access to internet and training programme on handling of computers, decentralized administration, chance of promotion, appropriate evaluation of better work, minimum meetings and financial incentives for additional work were the major suggestions.
