Correlations between physical characters of seeds and infestation of Callosobruchus theobromae L.

The physical characters of field bean seeds play an important role in developing resistance against Callosobruchus theobromae L. During present study, seed coat thickness showed significant negative correlation with oviposition and adult emergence, whereas, seed colour and diameter showed significant positive relationship with oviposition.
