Various characters of okra were influenced by irradiating seeds with gamma rays, treated with EMS and combination of both. Mutagenic efficiency increased with increasing mutagenic dose. The maximum mutagenic efficiency was recorded with the treatment 40 kR gamma + 0.1% EMS and it was minimum under 20 kR gamma radiation. Mutagenic effectiveness decreased with increasing mutagenic dose, and it was maximum with the treatment 0.1% EMS, while minimum with 40 kRgamma + 0.1% EMS.
