An experiment was conducted at Thakur Chhedilal Barrister College of Agriculture & Research Station, Sarkanda Bilaspur (C.G.) in 2000–01 & 2001–02 to assess the effect of date of sowing and nitrogenous fertilizer on the yield of rabi sunflower after the harvesting of paddy. The pooled analysis data of two years revealed that the sowing of sunflower in last week of November produced the significantly higher yield (18.42 qu/ha.) then other sowing dates and yield was significantly decreased with the delay in sowing. Increasing the dose of nitrogenous fertilizer increases the yield and significantly higher yield (17.55 qu./ha.) was observed with the application of 80 Kg.N/ha.
