Rainfed based agrisilvicultural system green fodder production in kharif
Abstract
The field experiment was conducted on Indian Grassland and fodder Research Institute, Central Research Farm, Jhansi in rainfed based agrisilvicultural system green fodder production in kharif. Based on an average of two years data (2004 and 2005) the maximum growth recorded in shisham (Dalbergia sissoo) tree. The maximum green fodder production was registered in shisham (Dalbergia sissoo) + cowpea (124.7q/ha) combination treatments. The result of this trial was concluded cowpea is better association of with shisham tree under agroforestry system.
