A field experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 2004–05 and 2005–06 to find out the effect of fertility levels and weed control measures on growth, yield attributes, yield and economic return of barley ‘K 560’ under rainted condition. Results revealed that application of 60 kg. N + 30kg. P2O5 + 30kg K2O/ha. brought about significantly the higher growth, yield attributes and production as compared to other treatments. In addition, the net return and cost: benefit ratio was also noticed more. One weeding and hoeing at 25 days of sowing gave significantly higher growth, yield attributes and production over atrazine @1.0 kg ai/ha (Pre-emergence). The higher net return and cost: benefit ratio were also recorded when weeding and hoeing method was adopted.
