At national level for harvesting threshing and transportation of various crops losses are 0.15 to 9.33%, looking to this study was conducted for two years harvesting threshing and transportation losses of paddy and wheat in Sihoba village of Jabalpur district.
The percentage losses observed for Harvesting 0.37 to 2.13% and 1.25 to 2.77% for paddy and wheat respectively, similarly for threshing 0.3 to 1.37% and 0.58 to 1.15% for paddy and wheat respectively and for transportation 0.11 to 2.90% and 0.75 to 1.69% for paddy and wheat respectively.
