Abstract

A survey of weed hora in kharif crops viz, Soyabean, Jowar and maize, Cotton, Groundnut and Sugarcane etc. of Jhabua and Dhar district of M.P. was conducted in the year 2005–06. The highest infestation of Echinochloa Crusgalli was recorded in Soyabean, Cotton and Paddy crops of Jhabua district. Echinochloa crusgalli wa placed next in order in Jowar and maize. Celosia argentea was observed highest infestation in Jowar, Maize and Groundnut. In Dhar district highest infestation of Echinochloa crusgalli was observed in Soyabean crop. Dinebra arabica and Commelina communis was observed highest infestation in Cotton and Sugarcane, respectively. Dinebra arabica, Eclipta alba and Cynodon dactylon were observed at second place in Soyabean, Cotton and Sugarcane crops respectively.
