Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at the management of salt affected soils and use of saline water in agriculture (ICAR) R.B.S. College, Bichpuri, Agra, during Kharif and Rabi sesaon 1998–99 & 1999–2000 in cotton-wheat crop rotation to study the Saline water irrigation and method of sowing results revealed that cotton yield significantly higher in 4ds/m (77%) compared with 8ds/m. But use of 12 Eciw water do not germinate the cotton seed so that no yield. The bed sowing method significantly superior than flat sowing method the yield was increase 35% The second crop was wheat. The wheat yield significantly declined in Eciw 8 and 12% but did not differ in control and Eciw 4 ds/m. The bed sowing method superior than flat sowing method. The bed sowing method increase 12% grain yield than flat sowing method. The grain yield attributing character obtained higher in that of both the crop in these treabnents.
