Effect of different date of sowing on yield of soybean in Narmada region of Madhya Pradesh

A field experiment was conducted at J.N.K.V.V., Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Farm, Harda (M.P.) in the Kharif sesaon of the uear 2005, 2006 & 2007. Sowing of soybean was done in different dates i.e. 27 June, 03 July, 09 July, 15 July and 21 July in the light black to medium black soiL Soybean variety J.S. 93–05 was used in the experiment. On the basis of pooled data result revealed that the highest yield (1217 Kg/ha.) was obtained of soybean on sowing on 27 June, while lowest yield was recorded with sowing on 21 July (628 Kg/ha), Yield decreased by 13, 27, 36 and, 48 percent as sowing date was increase on 03 July, 09 July, 15 July and 21 July respectively.
