Effect on yield of blackgram, pearlmillet, mustard and wheat under front line demonstrations

372 (106.80 ha.) frontline demonstration was conducted at formers field on blackgram pearlmillet mustard and wheat during 2000–01, 2001–02, 2002–03, 2003–04 and 2004–05 under KVK, at zonal agriculture research station, Morena, M.P. to compare the recommended production technology with formers practices at their fields. During studies, it was observed that in five years the filverage increased in yield under demonstrations was 28.91, 29.49, 40.16 and 40.59 percent over farmers practices on blackgram, pearlmillet, mustard and wheat, respectively. Accordingly the benfitcost ratio calculated was 1.56, 1.31, 1.42 and 1.40 and 1.40 respectively.
