Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at research farm of IARI during the year 2005 and 2006. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with replicated 4 times. Treatments included: T1 = control (no fertilizer), T2 = N80 P60 K30 kg ha−1, T3 =T2 + S30 kg ha−1 (gypsum), T4 = T2 + FYM (10 t ha−1), T5 = T4 + 530 kg ha−1 (gypsum), T6 = T2 + S30 kg ha−1 (pyrite), T7 = T2 + S30 kg ha−1 (element sulphur). The full dose of FYM, Phosphorus, Potas, Sulphur & half N applied as basal while remaining 50% N was applied at first irrigation as to basal dressing. Application of N80 P60 K30 kg ha−1 + FYM (10 t ha−1) + S30 kg ha−1 (gypsum) T5 produced significant highest seed yield (17.63q ha−1).
