Study on weed flora of mejor rabi crops in Mandsor and Ratlam district of M.P.

A survey of weed flora in rabi crops viz, wheat, gram, mustard, pea and berseem etc. of Mandsor and Ratlam district of M.P. was conducted in the year of 2005–06. Results indicated that the highest infestation of chenopodium album and Anagallius arvensis were recorded in wheat and gram. Parthenium histarophorus and Convolvulus arvesnsis were observed at IInd and IIIrd rank in respect of weed density. The berseem crop was infested due to Chicorium intivus and Anagallius arvensis.

While in Ratlam district the highest infestation of Chenopodium album was recorded in wheat, gram, pea and mustard crops. Anagallius arvensis, Uforvia jeniculeta, Cyprus rotandus and Anagallius arvensis were observed at IInd rank in wheat, gram, pea and mustard respectively in respect of weed density.
