Investigation was carried out to see the effect of moisture content (6, 8, 10 and 12%) and storage containers (Gunnybags, Baked earth enpitcher mud plastered and plastic containers) on safe storage of oil seeds. Moisture and storage containers are vital factors and play an important role in storage of oil seeds. Safe storage may be possible, if the optimum moisture content and suitability of storage containers are known, oil seeds may be stored upto 12 months without nutritional losses to maintaining the moisture level up to 6–8% and suitable storage container.
